Last week, I did a Google Course called Power Searching with Google Course. It was 6 lessons teaching you how to use the tools better. I knew about some of the tools but there was a lot I didn't know as well. I'm glad that I was required to complete this course because at school I need to use Google to find information. Since completing the Power Searching with Google Course, I have had research projects and the tips and tools I learned to use have come in handy.
Visual: 9 Auditory: 10 Read/Write: 14 Kinesthetic: 10 Predominat Style: multimodal learning preference. Output - Listen to your voice and write it down, Speak your answers out loud or inside your head, Spend time in a quiet place recalling ideas. The first line is to show Active and Reflective Learners, and since I'm between 1-3 it means I'm fairly balanced between the two. So it means I'm a person who thinks quietly first and then explains my thoughts to others. The second line is Sensing and Intuitive Learners, I'm closer to Sensing which means I tend to like learning facts. Sensor learner tend to be more practical and careful and also tend to be patient with details and good at memorizing and doing hands on activities. I'm also more of a Verbal learner than a Visual learner. Verbal learners get more out of words, like written and spoken explanations, which will come in handy in college. Writing summaries of the course would help me a lot. The last line says Sequential and Global leaner and according to my results I'm more of a sequential learner which means I learn better with order and steps Why Videos Go Viral
1. A Resume. This video talks about why videos go viral. It's all about Tastemakers and unexpected actions. A video can be practically invisible until someone sees it and shares it with their community, whether it's their followers on twitter or tumblr or their facebook 'friends'. A video is most likely to go viral if it's weird, unexpected and funny. 2. How I felt. I loved this video, because I learnt so much. I always wondered how videos go viral and why mine weren't. Now I know. I feel like if someone really wants to go viral they should watch it to understand. 3. Questions. Whiles watching this video I started thinking about what videos are out there that are possibly hilarious, that just hasn't been publicized. I also questions what I could do to go viral. 4. Concerns. I don't really have any concerns after watching the video. It's not like I'm worried that if I post a video on YouTube it will get popular because I don't see any other reason to post a video on YouTube other than that. How Social Media Can Make History 1. A Resume. This video talks about how social media has allowed people to know about things going on in the world sooner than in the past which allows us to know more. It talked about how whiles the earthquake was happening in Japan, the people were tweeting about it so the world was able to send help quicker. 2. How I felt. I liked knowing that the social media is allowing everyone to know things that are happening in their world faster than in the past. I like knowing that we're developing. 3. Questions. Whiles watching this video I wondered if Japan would ever allow people to tweet because it's like cutting people off which I don't feel is the right answer. 4. Concerns. My only concern is that social media might also change the worlds future for the worst because it's a possibility that things won't run smoothly forever. |
